This week's stats-
Baby's size: 4 navel oranges; just over 16 inches inches (head to heel) and 3.3 lbs.
What Munchkin is up to (according to Babycenter):
Your baby is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy.
Symptoms: This week has just been hard. Whatever position Baby Boy is in, it's taking its toll on my back and hips. Or maybe it's just because he's becoming a little fatty ;)
Total Weight Gain: 26 lbs
Best moment since last update: Eh, in a bad-but-good way, we had a scare this week when I fell on Tuesday, and Baby Boy decided to play possum and move very little over the next 24 hours. Everything turned out fine, but I did end up going back into the doctor to be put on the monitors, and it was a relief to hear his little heart beating away. Just for that, though, we're considering grounding him from birth.
On a lighter note, our nursery furniture has arrived! Okay, maybe not in the house yet, but it's at the store and will be delivered sometime next week. From there, we can really start organizing that room and getting it baby-ready.
Movement: With the exception of Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday? Yes :P
Food cravings: Eh. Sorta had a week where nothing sounds or tastes particularly appealing. Mia and I both have head colds too, though, so that could have something to do with it.
Gender: BOY!
What I miss: Still sleep...
What I'm looking forward to: Furniture arriving this week!
