Reassurance and Kisses

Yesterday saw me back at the ultrasound lab for another anatomy scan, since Baby Boy wasn't in the mood to fully cooperate 3 weeks ago.

I took my Mom with me this time, and had the same great tech who did another full scan and we were assured that he was indeed, growing, and healthy and BOY. He was much more active at the start of the scan, doing full barrel rolls so that the tech had to chase him around with the wand.

See? From back to belly to back again. Coincidentally, his big sister adopts the pose in the second picture above when she's in trouble. Maybe he thought he was being naughty?

Speaking of Mia, we are still encouraging potty training, without trying to make this into a traumatic experience. Knock on wood, it has been 24 hours since I've changed a wet diaper. We've been giving her a Hershey Kiss every time she has a successful potty trip, and so far that's been a big hit. We'll see how long that works. Dirty diapers are another story, but one step at a time, right? For now, it's a welcome break from having to get up and down off the floor multiple times a day to change the diaper of a toddler who HATES having her diaper changed and kicks and screams and twists the majority of the time. We're really pushing the "big girl" mentality. She's buying it.

Sometimes.
