Inauguration Day

Like many locals, we did NOT go into the city to attend the inauguration of now President Obama. Honestly, I just can't imagine braving the crowds, the cold, the hours in line...when to be honest, I bet I got a better view from my couch, dressed in yoga pants, a t-shirt and socks. I didn't even have to put on makeup for the occassion! Joking aside, I'm glad this event is now over, and we can get on with the business of living. So much hype. It'll be interesting to see what happens next.

As for the rest of the day? The government is pretty much shut down for the day, so Kevin is off work and Tuesday, is my normal day off, so we have the rare opportunity where we have an entire day to spend together, any way we wish. We're planning on going to see an afternoon matinee of Last Chance Harvey, and then maybe I can convince Daddy-to-be to put the crib together.

And that is the report from our little corner of the nation's capital.
