Mia has been waiting for snow since, oh...October. So imagine her excitement when she woke up from her nap to big white flakes coming down from the sky. She was ready to go outside immediately.
Unfortunately, Jacob had just decided to take a late nap, so we couldn't go beyond monitor range. And then Kevin had to work late, so he wasn't available right away to stay around the house while I took her out. The poor kiddo had to wait a good 2 hours before we were able to make it outside.
As soon as Kevin came home, we bundled up and headed outside. Jacob even woke up in time to experience a full 5 minutes of outdoor fun.
And it was a good thing we did. Because the next day the temperature climbed back up into the 50's and the snow was gone.
