39 Weeks

 Happy Thanksgiving!

Baby's size: a mini watermelon; a little over 7lbs and about 20 inches

What Munchkin is up to (according to Babycenter.com):
Your baby's waiting to greet the world! He continues to build a layer of fat to help control his body temperature after birth.  The outer layers of his skin are sloughing off as new skin forms underneath.

Total Weight Gain: 30 lbs as of my appointment on Monday.  Probably don't want to look at the scale after today's big ol' food fest.

Best moment since last update: Feeling completed.  The house has been cleaned and readied, the carseat bases are installed in the vehicles, bags are packed... I've really got nothing left to do other than "relax" and wait out the rest of the ride.  Which is both good and bad, because I can take a breath and know that everything is the way I want it to be, but also, having a to-do list helps take my mind off the waiting.

Movement: Yup.  In fact, the other night he was still able to practice his alien invasion moves while I was sitting up and watching tv.

Food cravings: Eh.  Nothing in particular.  I fill up pretty fast, too, so some meals are small and I just snack throughout the day.

Gender: BOY!

What I miss: My own physical comfort.

What I'm looking forward to: The next stage.  I have another doctor's appointment on Tuesday, and if I make it to that appointment, then we'll have the discussion about what happens next, and how long past due I can carry this kiddo.
