Dog Days

Is it me, or is this summer particularly brutal? I realize it's summer, and summer is supposed to be hot, but it hasn't been below 90 in a lonnnggggg time. Nor does it look like the next 10 days are promising either. And then there's the heat index that pushes those temps up into the "feels like" triple digits.

It's hot.

I'm cranky.

And since nobody particularly wants to listen to my crankiness, I've also not been blogging.

Instead I've found 1,000,000,000,000,0001 house projects to do.

Which sometimes contributes to the cranky. Because let's face it...I can go a little over the top.

And then there was a bachelorette weekend (no crankiness there!), and next week's Vacation Bible Camp to plan for, and the child with the summer cold, and I've pretty much got a whole lot of nothin' to report.

There. Aren't you glad you stopped in?

Summer is crazy. This summer more than most. Just 6 more weeks until September and fall and less heat and less CRAZY!

That is, until a cross-country wedding in October.

But I'll think about that later.

It is nasty summer heat/humidity here. Ugh! But I'd take the heat over snow and ice any day! :)
I wish it could be autumn all year long.

It is hotter than an oven down in South Georgia. The humidity makes it even worse. When I step outside I feel as though I am wrapped in a thick, wool blanket. Yuck!

Our summer has been busy as well, but now that picking season for blueberries is over things are starting to slow down. And I am very grateful for it.

Hope your summer settles down soon!
