WE HAVE A HOUSE!
If things go as planned, inspection will be on Thursday, and we'll move forward from there. The current owners no longer live in the house, so they are agreeable to a June 25 closing date. That's just a little over 4 weeks from now.
What's that? You'd like pictures.
Well, we don't have many because both of us forgot to take some on the TWO trips we took out there, so here are a few from the listing, and I'll have more when we do the home inspection later this week.
This first one is not much help, because ours is the one hidden behind the two trees. Except the tree to the right has been cut down, so that when you visit the property, you can actually SEE the front door.

Kitchen, looking out into the living room:

Living room:

Entryway, looking up into the living room. There's actually a separate dining room to the right of the kitchen, but I have no pictures of that right now.

4th (bonus!) basement bedroom:

Basement, with door out into the backyard:

Another shot of the basement:

There's another floor, with all 3 bedrooms, and 2 baths. More pictures to come soon.
*Sigh of relief* It's been a long 6 months as we both finished degrees, Kevin searched for a new job, and we searched together for a new place to live. We've looked at so many properties over the last 4 weeks, and had a hair-pulling experience with the bid we put in on the first house.
But honestly?
I'm so excited about this new place--and I feel like I can finally say that.

I am so excited for you, Kevin, and Mia.
What a lovely house; you will make it a wonderful home. Looks too, like there's room for expansion [last I checked, kids come in 2 varieties and they stack like cordwood in bunk beds] and a place for me to visit when I'm in the district.
