9 months

Little Mia, you are 9 months old today!

Here is what's been going on:

• You weigh about 17 pounds



• You have just about grown out of your size 2 diapers. The next pack will be size 3.



• You wear almost exclusively 9 month clothes because you are so long.



• Still only two bottom teeth, but they're fully in and you make sure everyone sees them by flashing big happy smiles all day.



• We've finally got you back on a fairly consistent nap schedule. You take an hour long morning nap every day at 10:00 and another afternoon nap that starts around 2:00 and lasts anywhere from 45-90 minutes.



• At night, you sleep from 8:00pm to 7:30am, provided that Lamby sleeps with you. We have one little hiccup where you want to get up and play every morning at 5:00. Not sure what that's about, but we're working on it.



• You are eating more solid foods. You now have a large bottle in the morning and a large bottle at night. You usually have 2 more "snack" bottles throughout the day, but you also eat three solid meals every day.



• Oatmeal is still your absolute favorite breakfast food. We've also started giving you more and more table food. You love being able to pick food up yourself. Some new foods we've discovered this month include cheese, cherries, cauliflower, peaches,and risotto.



• Right around Christmas, you suddenly decided to start crawling and overnight you went from moving around on your belly to crawling on your hands and knees. You continue to pull up on everything you can get your hands on, and have now started to cruise along the furniture a little.



• You've learned to clap and do it whenever you're excited or pleased. You also start clapping when we cheer for you.



• Just last week I caught you trying to pull up on the stairs. Tonight, you climbed all the way up the stairs (12 steps!!) at bathtime. You don't know how to turn around and scoot down them yet, so we have to be very careful, but we were so amazed with how quickly you mastered that skill!



• We've started leaving you in the nursery during church and you seem to love it. So many new toys and people to play with!



• You still love to be out and about. Today we went to lunch with your buddy Sam at Red Robin. Between the balloon causing your hair to stick straight up and the teething cookie you had smeared all over your face and hands, you were a mess, but an adorable one!
