You put all the clothes in the washing machine, like this:

Make sure nothing falls out!
Then you have to put the soap in, but I'm too short. Will you do that, please?
And then you press the button to start the machine. I can't reach that, either. A little help?
Finally, you watch the clothes go 'round and 'round. That's the most important part. The people who don't spend the time to watch the laundry spin are those who are always losing socks in the laundry.
