Mia's first playdate

Nine years ago, when I walked into the fancy house of the president of the Georgetown Alumni Association of Georgia, never did I imagine that there I would meet the mother of Mia's first playdate. Anne Marie was a fellow future Georgetown Hoya. Fellow Atlantans, we hit it off. As luck would have it, we lived in the same dormitory and had one class together.

Although she graduated a Virginia Cavalier rather than a Georgetown Hoya, we remained friends. Nine years and a marriage later for each of us, Anne Marie and Adam have a beautiful baby girl, Hartley Grace. Last night we were the kind beneficiaries of their hospitality as they brought us delicious lasagna, garlic bread, green salad, and chocolate chip cookies. We held our baby girls and and laughed and shared stories and the adventures of new parenthood.
