Sunny Sunday

Today got off to a lazy start, since I had a rough night last night and didn't wake up this morning until just after 9:00. Then it was off to church. We had hiking plans with friends for this afternoon, to take advantage of the warm (65 degrees in February!) weather, but they had to cancel, so after church we were on our own. On a whim, we decided to adjust our earlier plans, and hike closer to home.

First, we stopped at home to change, then we picked up lunch from KFC (I was in the mood), and took it to Burke Lake Park. Yum!

After lunch, we hiked partway around the lake. The weather hasn't been above 40 in several weeks, so the edges of the lake were actually frozen. That didn't keep the birds away, though!

A few more images from our hike:

This is the one picture I took. Kevin has an eye for photography, so he set it up and I clicked it.

From behind, you can't even tell that this lady is almost 8 months pregnant!

The new camera is wonderful, but the photographer behind it can get a little trigger happy. In an hour and a half today, he took something like 60 pictures. I don't like to be caught on film, so I kept making faces at him, and then rearranging my face again right before he could get the shot. This time, he caught me.

We walked for about an hour and a half, and by the end of it, I was done. Great afternoon out, but the walking left me feeling a little sore and heavy. We came home and I put my feet up for awhile, and then Kevin and I both spent several hours doing some schoolwork.

And so wrapped up another weekend. Tomorrow is another manic Monday, and our second child preparation class. Here's to another week!

Ugh, you'd think my wardrobe consists of a single sweatshirt. Somehow every time I appear on film, I'm wearing this sweatshirt. Seriously, I do own more varied clothing, promise!
