34 Weeks

We're getting close to the end of the ticker.

Baby Mia weighs approximately 4 3/4 pounds and is about 17 inches long. That's about the weight of a cantaloupe, which coincidentally sounds really good right now...

Her lungs are well-developed, and she's got alot more pudge (baby fat) now. There's really nothing left for her to do now, except get fatter (wouldn't be nice if we could all adopt this lifestyle?)

This stage is kinda hard for me. If all systems are go, then what are we waiting for? I'm very lucky to only be working part time, but I'm still wiped out in the evenings. This morning, my alarm didn't go off, and I slept until 9:30...almost 11 hours! And yet, 2 hours later, I still feel like I could nap. I'm restless. Retail therapy would be good...but there's nothing we really need. So it's a lot of hurry up and wait. There's schoolwork I could (and should) be working on, but I'm not really focused there, either.

Oh well. I'm sure this isn't the first time Mia will have her way.

This part sucks. The day I turned 37 weeks I lived in constant anxiety, waiting to go into labor. Then I was induced at 41 weeks! That was a hard month. Hang in there...

I can somewhat relate to the waiting. The wedding is 22 days away and just ready to be married already. Anyways, all of my mommy friends say you should enjoy these last few weeks of just waiting - once Baby Mia is here life will get a lot busier but more exciting.
