28 Weeks

We're still growing! Mia...

• is about 16 inches long, and weighs approximately 2 1/2 pounds. About the size of a cabbage.

• is developing surfacant on her lungs, which allows the lungs to expand for air, and not close in.



• has more and more grooves developing on her brain, as her neurons continue to increase and develop (such a smart girl!)



• can blink her eyes, which now have eyelashes.



• is adding more body fat (aren't we both??)

I have another appointment next Friday. I'll also take my glucose test then, to test for gestational diabetes. Still feeling pretty good, albeit slower.

We're headed to Georgia this weekend to pick up the borrowed crib.
