This jumpsuit was made for Baby by a family friend. Totally appropriate for either a boy or a girl, and it even has snaps sewn into the inseam for easy diaper changing. The talent is amazing, the thought even more so.Next:
This tub came from another family friend, a mother of 3. It was filled to the brim with maternity clothes, as well as a Boppy, and a carrier. It's half empty now because the fall clothes already reside in my closet. I'm currently at this weird stage where the only person who's really aware of any physical change is me. Almost immediately, I found that my tops were too tight, so several weeks ago, I bought some new tops, but I've been wearing the same 5 every day for the last month. My wardrobe was feeling really limited. In the last week, my bottoms have started feeling tighter, though there's no baby bump yet. Just no more hips, either. I feel a little like a barrel.Third:
This book collection has been started by my parents, Baby's Oma and Opa. All of them are bright, colorful, and, with the exception of Goodnight Moon, cardboard for durability. Baby will have a library before s/he even arrives. Finally:
I don't have a picture for this, but Kevin has completely stepped up to the plate. In addition to wanting to be totally involved with doctor's appointments, and other baby related events, he agreed to and found a way for me to quit work in April, so that I could stay at home with Baby for the first 15 months or so. Added to the news of Baby has been the life change of me going back to school full-time and working evenings and weekends. This means I'm rarely home before 8:30 or 9:00 and not able to make dinner. He's become quite the culinary chef. Last night's dinner for example, was stir fry with wild rice. Other nights it has been steak gorganzola salad. Or spaghetti. It makes balancing all the spinning plates alot easier when somebody takes one of the plates off your hands.
So lots of thanks to all the people who have come forward to love on us and Baby. That includes those above, but also all our friends both in "real world" and "blogger world" for all your well wishes. Baby is very well loved.
