Blessings and Curses

My child,

Today our society cursed the greed and those who built up the house of cards crashing down all around us. NBC Nightly News was devoted to the economic crash tonight, save for a final two minutes eulogizing movie star and philanthropist Paul Newman. It was a day of blessings and curses all around.

I pray that on that bright and cloudless morning, when I run down to the Pearly Gates to meet you in God's glory, that you will be among the latter category, among those who are blessed and praised for leaving more behind you on this earth than you took.

I love you. You're getting bigger every day.
