We had a doctor's appointment yesterday, the first of my now-weekly appointments that confirmed pretty much what we already knew: now we just wait.
Baby Boy is in the correct position, growing well, strong heartbeat, and has dropped.
My blood pressure was good, my ankles are still visible (minimal swelling/water retention), and I've had no concern-causing contractions.
I'll be full-term on Thursday, which means that, while I still have 3 weeks to allow for baby to put on weight, continue with lung maturity, and just basically be as healthy as he can be, medically speaking I'm "done" and could have a normal, uncomplicated delivery.
All this to say that (fingers crossed), he should be here in the next 3 weeks and now we just wait. I have a few projects to be finished, but am struggling to find the energy to get them done. This morning, I took Mia out to 2 stores and to have lunch with Kevin (all 3 locations within 5 miles of each other), and by the time we got home and I put her down for her nap, I had no desire to do anything other than sit on the couch and be lazy. Which is pretty much what I've done.
Anxious to keep this guy in a little while longer, but equally excited to have him out.
So we wait.
