Summer Beginnings

We went to Pennsylvania for the Memorial Day weekend. We left at noon on Saturday. By late afternoon, I was having a pedicure done with a longtime friend. An hour later, I had fabulous painted toenails, and all the latest gossip.




On Sunday, Kevin and I snuck out of the house while Mia was napping to go window-shopping for appliances for the new house. Not exactly a date that screams romance, but it was child-free, and we DID stop at Sonic for a treat on our way home. We grilled hamburgers and turkey burgers on Sunday night, and then topped the night off with margaritas and roasted marshmallows around the firepit Sunday night.



We did another quick child-free shopping trip on Monday, and headed home mid-afternoon.




A nice break from all the recent craziness and a moment to catch our breath before the next round of craziness.
