Blizzard Bloghop

This weekend there's lots of squeals and hugs and laughter over in Nashville. Women all over the blog and twitter world have been counting down the days till Blissdom '10 for the last several weeks.

Obviously, I'm not there with all the cool kids. So when I read about the Blizzard Bloghop, I thought it might be fun! And the timing couldn't be better because, well, have you seen what's going on in my corner of the world?

We're located in the white. The white that's supposed to hang around until Saturday night and leave 18-24" of fluffy stuff.

So.

If you're here from the bloghop, grab some hot chocolate (because there's always plenty of that around here) and a blanket, and settle in.

Who am I?

  • Wife to this guy.

  • Mommy to this cutie

  • Former public school elementary teacher who loves teaching, but hates the paperwork.

  • Graduate student who is this close to finishing (come on May!!) and currently working as an intern two days a week at a local elementary school library.

  • Bit of a homebody who has recently discovered pleasure in home decor, cooking, and baking. Sometimes with positive results. :)
  • (Speaking of results, anybody have any idea of what to put in that big white space? Because I'm out of ideas and that space is mocking me)

So that's it! Feel free to stay as long as you want! And let me know if you stopped by so that I can pop over and visit you, too!

Hi! Nice to meet you. How about a mirror above the mantel? Or maybe find a big old frame at the Goodwill paint it and leave it blank? We're in the white area of the map too, but I don't think we are to get THAT much snow! YIKES!!

How 'bout a seasonal wreath? For Lent, it could be grapevine [thorny], for Easter, add flowers; spring summer fall, Advent and winter....lots of possibilities and a reminder of the cycle of life.

Hi there! I found you on the bloghop! I'm a little jealous of all the snow...I recently moved to GA, and it seems like snow is happening everywhere BUT here. =(

Hey!
It's nice to meet you!
For the open space, I'd paint a bunch of empty frames white and hang them up! Easy and cheap.
Hope the snow isn't too rough!
