Staycation

We took Mia on her first overnight trip to Shenandoah National Park this week. This is one of our favorite places, we're here several times a year. In fact, we drove up there 2 days AFTER Mia was due when I was so tired of being pregnant I was ready to crawl out of my own skin. We hadn't been back since Mia was born.

This time, my parents drove up from Pennsylvania and met us on Saturday. We spent the first day visiting our favorite chocolate shopping, doing a little shopping, and finished with a "date night" dinner while the grandparents babysat.

On Sunday, we did a little hiking before it was time to go our separate ways. Kevin and I (with Mia in tow) stopped at a winery on the way home and bought ourselves a treat for some night in the future.

Kevin took some time off of work this week, so we'll be "vacationing" around the house. We're thinking of taking Mia to the zoo one day this week, and we're also going apple/pumpkin picking. Lots of phots to come!
