One Week

It's crazy how much she has changed in just the last week. We went to the pediatrician on Tuesday and got a glowing report. Some things we've learned about Baby Mia:

• She's a champion eater. Seriously. She'd be attached to me all day, every day, if I'd let her.




• She has a little bit of a diva personality. She wants what she wants and she wants it NOW.




• She is beginning to tolerate diaper changes but she HATES to be completely undressed.




• She loves to be held while she's awake. One of her favorite positions is to lay with her back on my chest so that she can see the world go by.




• She MUST have something to suck on when she gets upset or tired. We introduced the pacifier to help out, which made me really nervous because the "experts" say not to do this at so young an age. She's taken well to the situation, though. She sucks on it to soothe herself...and then spits it out.




• She knows the voices of Mommy and Daddy and will seek out the sound with her eyes, which are becoming much more focused.

I'm so tired by the time 9:30 rolls around and she's in bed. I'm not physically running around during all the day, and I'm so fortunate that she sleeps so well at night, but eesh, this is tiring!

Still, I love waking up to this little face every day.
