We lunched on the campus lawn and then took an official photo of the alumni:

Also, we got Baby some official Georgetown gear:

At $8.99 on the clearance rack, I couldn't resist.
On Saturday night, the guys went out to another alumni party (which ended up being a bust), and the girls stayed home and watched Last Holiday (a much better choice). Sunday morning was a leisurely breakfast, and then I headed out to work and our guests left soon after. Kevin had our Sunday night dinner date, and that was that.
Monday Kevin had off, so after I finished some school work, we headed to Babies R Us, since my parents have asked for some Christmas ideas for Baby. We've made a few decisions at this point, mostly fairly simple decisions, like the monitors we want and the bathing tub. Two other items on our wish list:
1. A glider and ottoman for the nursery. We've haven't really picked out a nursery theme yet, but we know that we like the chocolate brown. The contrast color will depend on Baby's sex, which we won't know yet for another month or so. This is the chair we (okay, mostly I, since it will be me who spends the most time in it...) like--
Hmm...not quite the one we had found, but pretty close.
2. This travel swing:
It was at this point that I started to feel a little overwhelmed by the amount of decisions we have to make. Baby shopping is great fun, and I'm lucky that the daddy is just as enthusiastic. Still, how did all you veteran moms do it? The number of cribs and strollers and car seats is just overwhelming. Anyone have any good resources for making these decisions? We're thinking that we'll put together our registry at the end of December, as our goal is to have most things bought, or ordered by the beginning of March (Baby is due beginning of April). I want to be able to be part of the decision making process and the actual shopping while I still have the energy to do so.
I went shopping for stretchy waist jeans after that, but couldn't find a pair that fit well. When I was standing in Kohls and starting to get teary, I realized I'd reached my limit for the day and we headed home for lunch before I went to work.
Busy, but productive.
